The Himachal Pradesh Government has sought the help of the Union Government to get the Gravitational Water Supply Scheme approved by the World Bank for Shimla town.
The state government has planned this water supply scheme for Shimla and its surroundings which will supply adequate water in Shimla town and upcoming adjoining townships for next six decades. The proposed project is estimated to cost Rs 750 crore.
