According to a PTI report, Kerala is becoming a major Dental Tourism hub with the rising number of quality dental clinics in the state. Gins Paul, Chief Surgeon of Dental Designs said that Dental Tourism is fast emerging as a major branch of Medical Tourism. Most leading tour operators and websites have included this in their service charts. Located close to tourist spots, most of the dental clinics have state-of-the art facilities for diagnosing visitors in advance through video conferencing or web cast and fix the duration and cost of treatment before landing. Most of the visitors are from Europe and the Gulf.
“The medical expenses are high in foreign countries, especially the dental treatments. So people there prefer countries which offer less expensive treatment, without compromising on the quality and standards,” added Paul.
