The Punjab Infrastructure Development Board (PIDB) and the Department of Sports, Punjab, proposes to develop a state-of-the-art cricket stadium on Dabwali Road (NH-64) in Bathinda on PPP basis. The stadium is likely to spread over 1,03,392 sq mtrs.
The PIDB has invited RFPs from eligible companies for executing the project. The scope of work will include designing, financing, construction, operation and maintenance of the stadium, cricket training academy, club house and development of remaining land for mixed use. The selected entity will also have to conduct and manage sport events and collect revenues.
