Norway's Telenor Group has infused the first tranche of Rs 1,250 crore in Unitech Wireless, for a 33.5 per cent stake.
In all, Telenor will invest Rs 6,120 crore of new equity into Unitech to acquire 67.25 per cent stake while the remaining stake will be with the company. The Norwegian company’s remaining investment of Rs 4,870 crore will be made in three tranches during this year.
