Surana Telecom and Power (STPL), a subsidiary of Surana Group plans to set up a 5 MW solar farm in Andhra Pradesh with an investment of Rs.100 crore.

The company has sought clearance from the state government. While the site for the project has not been finalised, the farm is likely to come up on the company's own land.

Meanwhile, Surana Ventures, another group company, is investing about Rs.300 crore in a 60 MW plant at Fabcity in Hyderabad. It will commence operations at the solar and semiconductor hub by April.
