Gujarat Hydrocarbons & Power SEZ has acquired around 315 ha for setting up the Oil & Gas SEZ and Energy SEZ at Vilayat Vagra industrial estate in Bharuch district of Gujarat.
The SEZ entailing a cost of Rs 4,500 crore is expected to accord the BoA notification by end-August 2009. The SEZ is likely to have around 70 industrial units. Basic infrastructure work is slated to commence by end-2009, as told to ProjectsToday by company officials.
Meanwhile, Gujarat Hydrocarbons is expected to finalise the co-developer i.e., for financial or technical or both purposes by August-September 2009.
Around 6.25 MVA of required power will be supplied through Gujarat Electricity Board/Gujarat State Electricity Corporation for the project.
The SEZ is likely to cater to industries in production of machineries, equipments, oil drilling rings for oil and gas, and petrochemical sector.
