The Vijayawada Municipal Corporation (VMC) plans to construct a two-tier flyover at Benz Circle to ease traffic congestion.
The two-tier flyover is estimated to cost around Rs 90 to Rs 100 crore. The VMC is to submit the report to the Union Government for sanction of funds under JNNRUM programme.
The two-tier flyover is expected to enable vehicle users to move to the other side of the crossroads on Bandar road as well as NH 5. While a tier of the flyover is likely to carry the traffic moving in the direction of Skew bridge to Ramavarappadu and vice-versa, another is meant for the vehicles coming from the Police Control Room side and going towards NTR Circle, Patamata and vice-versa.
