The Karnataka High Court has ordered status quo on the acquisition of 13.6 acre at Gottigere by Nandi Infrastructure Corridor Enterprise (NICE) for the Bangalore-Mysore Infrastructure Corridor Project (BMICP).
NICE plans to construct an expressway between Bangalore and Mysore with link roads, interchange, cross-roads and several townships for the BMICP.
It has been alleged that NICE had deliberately and illegally changed the alignment of the interchange that was supposed to come up at Gottigere. The change in alignment had caused illegally acquiring the private land.
