The whole project has been divided into three parts called blue, red and green corridors. The blue corridor surrounding Rajkot in Gujarat spans around 29 km.
At present, work is on, at the 150 ft ring road which connects Gondal road and Jamnagar road national highway. Three flyovers are being constructed on this 10.70 km stretch wherein 18 per cent work has been completed, according to sources. RMC expects to complete the Phase I by August 2010.
The BRTS project in Rajkot covers an area of 67 km. The other phases are to cover 9.16 km from Jamnagar road to Greenland cross road and 9.14 km road from Greenland cross road to Gondal road highway.
