The Loot, a multi-brand retailer, has chalked out a plan to double the stores it operates.

The Loot plans to open 100 retail stores across the country by the end of current fiscal. At present, the company operates around 111 stores in 75 cities.

A major part of the new stores are expected to be large format that will be set up over 4,000-8,000 sq ft. According to sources, the expansion plans are in tune with the decision to invest close to Rs 100 crore over next three years. The money is likely to be amassed through internal accruals and debt, although the company is also exploring the option to offload equity to private equity funds.
