The MMRDA has invited pre-qualification bids on 20 May 2009 from consultants and infrastructure agencies, for construction of the iconic tower at Wadala, Mumbai which is reportedly would be the tallest building in India with a massive 101 floors.
The bids are required to be submitted before 2 July and MMRDA is expected to hold a pre-bid meeting with the interested parties on 18 June.
The tower, with a height of 526 mtrs/1725 ft, is likely to come up on a plot ad-measuring 1.4 lakh sq mtrs and is estimated to cost Rs 4,000 crore. The proposed building will come up alongside an inter-state bus terminal, both of which will be built on DBOOT basis under PPP model.
