Andhra Pradesh Government has invited RfQs from prospective developers to undertake the Hyderabad Metro Rail project on DBFOT basis.
The state government is planning to implement the rail project in PPP mode. The proposed rail project is estimated to cost Rs 12,132 crore. The last for submission of RfQs is 7 September 2009.
The Andhra Pradesh Government invited the RFQs for taking up the delayed Hyderabad Metro Rail project days after scrapping the deal with the Maytas consortium that had bagged the contract last year.
Earlier, several consortia with foreign partners had made their bids, including Reliance Energy with Canada-based Bombardier, Essar Constructions with SembCorp of Singapore, IVRCL with Hitachi and GVK with Gammon India and Alstom of France.
