The DMRC has delayed the inauguration of the Yamuna Bank-Noida line by a month to end-September 2009, due to non-availability of new coaches. The 13.1 km elevated corridor will connect Delhi with Noida.
The DMRC has been carrying out trial runs on the corridor since 26 July 2009 with the trains running up to New Ashok Nagar, the last metro station in Delhi. However, trial runs are yet to begin along the second leg of the stretch in Noida.
With the opening of the section, its length will increase to 47.2 km. Line III will comprise a total of 42 stations. There are 10 stations in the 13.1 km section, out of which four fall within Delhi while six stations fall in Noida in Uttar Pradesh.
