Andhra Pradesh to execute MMTS-II with Railways

The Andhra Pradesh Government intends to implement the Phase-II of the multi-modal transport system (MMTS) in association with the Indian Railways at an estimated cost of Rs 614 crore. The state government is likely to bear two-thirds of the project cost while the remaining by the Union Government.

The Phase-II of the MMTS project is expected to span 67 km and will cover three sectors - Secunderabad to Medchal, Faluknuma to Shamshabad and Secunderabad to Ghatkesar. The state is expected to submit a DPR to the government shortly.
