BHEL bags order from IOC for Barauni refinery

BHEL has bagged an order worth Rs 1,050 crore from Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) for setting up a captive power plant at its Barauni Refinery Complex in Bihar.

The order is for a 20 MW Steam Turbine Generator set-based captive power plant with a gas/oil fired boiler of 150 tons per hour capacity.

BHEL's scope of work includes design, engineering, manufacture, supply, erection and commissioning of the captive power plant. The equipment for the project will be supplied by BHEL's plants at Hyderabad, Trichy, Ranipet, Bhopal and Electronics Division, Bangalore. Erection and commissioning of the plant is expected to be carried out by the company's Power Sector – Eastern Region, Kolkata.
