Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) is likely to buy 67 per cent stake in Krishna Godavari Gas Network Ltd (KGGNL), a company set up to develop a city gas distribution network (CGD) in Andhra Pradesh.

The investment on CGD for the state is estimated at Rs 1,00,000 crore. The price of natural gas is expected to be $4.2 per million BTU.

Reliance Gas Corporation, a subsidiary of RIL, is expected to sign an MoU with three other stakeholders - Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation, IDFC Equity Fund and the Infrastructure Corporation of Andhra Pradesh soon. The three partners will have a 11 per cent stake each in KGGNL.
