IOC's ATF pipeline, CPCL's desalination plant to be inaugurated

M K Stalin, Deputy Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu and Praful Patel, Minister of State of Civil Aviation are expected to inaugurate on 4 July 2009, an Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) pipeline to Chennai Airport and a Sea Water Desalination Plant.

Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) has laid the 95 km long ATF pipeline from Manali Refinery to its Aviation Fuel Station at Chennai Airport, costing Rs 50 crore.

Chennai Petroleum Corporation Ltd (CPCL), a subsidiary of IOC, has set up 5.8 million gallons per day Reverse Osmosis based Sea Water Desalination Plant at Kattupalli near Manali. CPCL has invested Rs 244 crore in setting up the plant.
