Indraprastha Gas Ltd (IGL) has reportedly signed the GSPA with Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) and its partner NIKO (NECO) on 11 August 2009.
As per the agreement, RIL is likely to supply 0.308 mmscmd from Krishna-Godavari D6 at $4.2 per million (approx Rs 201.6) British thermal unit at the landfall point. The gas supplies from RIL are expected to meet the growing demand of compressed natural gas and piped natural gas in National Capital Territory of Delhi. Currently, IGL gets its supply of gas from HVJ pipeline of GAIL.
Besides, IGL has signed gas transportation agreement with Reliance Gas Transmission Ltd (RGTL) for transport of gas from Gadimoga near Kakinada in Andhra Pradesh till Ankot in Gujarat, where its pipeline connects with HVJ (Hazira-Vijaipur-Jagdishpur) pipeline of GAIL.
