BHEL has bagged a Rs 190 crore order from Oil India to set up an energy efficient and environment friendly 20 MW gas turbine-based captive power plant in Assam.
The project will be set up by the company on Lump sum Turnkey basis at Duliajan in Assam.
BHEL's scope of work envisages design, engineering, manufacture, supply, erection and commissioning of the complete captive power plant, in addition to civil works.
The equipment for the project will be supplied by BHEL's plants at Hyderabad, Bhopal, Jhansi and Electronics Division, Bangalore. The erection and commissioning of the captive power plant is to be carried out by the company's Power Sector - Eastern Region, Kolkata.
