Infinity to begin work on semiconductor hub in Kolkata by December

Work on Infinity Infotech Parks' semiconductor hub in Kolkata is expected to begin by end-2009. The project is to entail a cost of Rs 200 crore.

The 22-storey complex, to come up in partnership with the West Bengal Government, is likely to attain all statutory clearances in a couple of months.

The company's Infinity Benchmark project in Kolkata has secured LEED Platinum Level certification from the US Green Building Council.

Some of Infinity's projects in the pipeline include Godrej Waterside, a two million sq ft project, a technology park in Sri Lanka, IT SEZ in Siliguri with an investment of Rs 600 crore and a residential project being built on green building concepts in Guwahati (Assam).
