P M Narendraswamy, Minister for Women Children Welfare, Tamil Nadu, has proposed a cable car link between the two falls on the Cauvery river- Gaganachukki and Bharachukki - at Sivasamudram in Karnataka.
The minister, in a blueprint submitted to the state government, has suggested Sivasamudram and places around it like Bheemeswari, Doddamakali, Belakawadi and Basavana Betta to be developed under PPP as they had the potential to attract tourists.
The proposal also includes developing a children's park, river rafting and other water sports. Around 2-3 parties had responded favourably to the PPP plan.
