Larsen & Toubro (L&T) will restructure the engineering construction and contracts division (ECC) into four registered entities in 2-3 years starting from 1 July 2008.
The ECC will be divided into four separate entities; building and factories division, infrastructure, power transmission and distribution and metallurgical materials handling and water. ECC will initially be the holding company for the four subsidiaries and L&T might subsequently become the holding company. The divisions will then be called L&T Infrastructure, L&T Power Transmission and so on. The functional restructuring is likely to be complete by end 2008. |
