ITT Corporation in consortium with Megha Engineering and Infrastructures has bagged a contract worth $22 million (approx Rs.107.8 crore) from Andhra Pradesh Irrigation & Command Area Development Department for Pranahita Chevella and Chintalpudi irrigation projects in Andhra Pradesh.
The scope of the work includes design, supply and installation of pumps besides modeling sump. Pranahita Chevella lift irrigation project , pumps capable of lifting 79 cubic mtrs of water per second are likely to be installed to supply water from Thipparam Reservoir to Chevella Reservoir while in Chintalpudi, pumps are likely lift 56 cubic mtrs of water per second from the Godavari River and supply it to the Jaleru Reservoir in three different stages.
ITT Corporation is likely to manufacture these pumps at its new plant located in Vadodara, Gujarat.
