Accor to have 50 hotels by 2012

Accor Hotels is expected to invest $130 million (approx Rs 636 crore) to have 50 operational hotels with over 10,400 rooms by 2012.

Currently, Accor operates 5 hotels throughout India. This network will expand with an additional hotel to be opened later this year (Ibis Pune) followed by seven hotels opening in 2010, 18 hotels in 2011 and 19 are scheduled for completion in 2012.

This expansion includes three hotels as a part of 'Aerocity' at Delhi International Airport, where the company will operate a Pullman, Novotel and an Ibis, with a combined capacity of 985 guest rooms.
