Fortis Healthcare, the Delhi based company, is all geared up to buy some of Wockhardt's key hospitals.

Under the transaction which is likely to be signed on 24 August 2009, Wockhardt will sell its 10-odd hospitals in Bangalore, Kolkata and Mumbai to Fortis for about Rs 900-1,000 crore.

Fortis is expected to add over 700 beds through the deal and end up with over 4,000 bed capacity.
