Hyderabad based Care Hospitals has lined up an investment of Rs 400 crore for setting up multi-speciality hospitals across India.
These hospitals are planned in locations like Hyderabad, Pune, Raipur, Surat, Nagpur, Visakhapatnam and Bhubaneshwar. The hospitals with a cumulative capacity of 1,800 beds are slated to be operational within 18 months.
Care Hospital is investing Rs 100 crore in setting up its hospital over an area of five acre in Vishakhapatnam. The company intends to set up a hospital in Pune and Raipur with a capacity of 100 beds each. The company is likely to commence work on Raipur Hospital by April 2009, while on the Pune Hospital by December 2009.
In addition, the company is taking over an existing hospital in Nagpur to develop into a multi-speciality hospital whereas the hospital in Surat is being set up at an investment of Rs 60 crore. Care Hospital is also planning to develop a new, state-of-the-art hospital in Hyderabad at an investment of Rs 80 crore.
In Bhubaneshwar, the company has already acquired four and a half acre for its hospital, which is scheduled to be operational by June 2010. The company has already committed Rs 60-80 crore for this hospital.
