Audikeshavulu plans Rs 300 cr hospitality expansion

D K Audikesavulu, Chairman of Vydehi Institute of Medical Sciences, with interests in sectors like liquor, hospitals and hospitality, plans to invest Rs 300 crore on the expansion of his hospitality business.

Audikesavulu is setting up a 380-keys five star property in Bangalore and has so far invested Rs 125 crore in the project. According to sources, another Rs 150 crore is expected to be raised to complete the project.

Audikesavulu is also expanding his healthcare business and is likely to acquire the Bangalore based Lakeside Hospital with 200-beds.

Audikesavulu also manages the Mallya Hospital in Bangalore, Medinova chain of diagnostic centres and the Vydehi Institute in Bangalore.

Vydehi Institute is embarking on a Rs 200 crore expansion to double its patient-handling capacity from 1,150 beds in two years time. The multi-specialty hospital, in Whitefield has 75 acre and the expansion will see the hospital develop into a Health City.
