Himachal Pradesh based Himalaya International, the food processing company, is expected to set up a functional food project at an outlay of Rs 110 crore at Keshwana Rajput near Behror in Jaipur district in Rajasthan.
The company has acquired 32 acre on Delhi Jaipur National Highway-8 at Behrod for setting up the project.
The project is to be financed up to $6 million (approx Rs 27.9 crore) by EXIM bank of US while a debt of Rs 40 crore is to be raised from State Financial Institutions and Rs 40 crore will be raised through equity. In addition, the company requires working capital of $10 million (approx Rs 45.5 crore).
Himalaya is expected to process 20,000 kg of almonds daily and produce 4,00,000 nutrition bars/day on state of the art high tech line.
It will manufacture chocolate coated almonds, jordan almonds, roasted almonds, almonds in honey, cereal bars, meal replacement bars and protein bars in the plant.
According to sources, at full capacity, the plant is likely to produce 100 million cereal & health bars and process 7,000 tonne of almonds & berry fruits per annum.
