Clair Technology forays into fluorescent lamps

Clair Technology (India), plans to foray into energy-efficient lighting solutions, with the launch of compact fluorescent lamps ( CFL ) and luminaries along with setting up of two more plants (one in Gujarat), by end 2008.

The company will also launch a range of products, including fans and switches. In all, Clair plans to launch 30 products in segments ranging from general consumer to heavy industries.

The company plans to launch its products in 10 states, starting with Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Maharashtra and Goa by September 2008. Clair's existing manufacturing facility at Solan (Himachal Pradesh) has a capacity to manufacture 50 lakh CFLs in phase one.
