Numeric Power to foray into solar panel assembling business

Numeric Power Systems, the Chennai-based company plans to foray into the solar panel assembling business. The company will buy solar cells from suppliers in Japan and Germany and configure panel modules and assemble them.

So far, it has executed three solar power projects with total generation capacity of 200 kWp (kilowatt-peak) for captive consumption at its facilities in Chennai, Puducherry and Salem.

Numeric Power also plans to set up a 1 MW solar project at Palladam in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, where it has 1.5 MW windmill farm, at an outlay of Rs 25 crore.
