KEC to erect two transmission lines

KEC International Ltd has secured two EPC contracts from Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd amounting to Rs 227 crore. The larger of the two is a Rs 124 crore order for supply and construction of 765kV Nandanwadi-Wardha transmission line measuring 135 km to be constructed across Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh. The project is associated with Western Region Strengthening Scheme-II, and is scheduled to be executed by February 2011.

The second project is a Rs 103-crore package for setting up the 765kV Jattikalan-Moga transmission line (part-II) measuring 160 km in Punjab and Haryana, associated with the 765kV system for the Central part of Northern Region Part-I project. This order is due by 2011.
