BHEL wins Rs 345 crore order from NPCIL

Bharat Heavy Electricals (BHEL) has bagged an order worth Rs 345 crore from Nuclear Power Corporation of India (NPCIL) for supply of steam generators for new rating 700 MW nuclear sets.

BHEL will manufacture and supply four steam generators for use in the primary cycle of a 700 MW nuclear set of NPCIL's Kakrapara atomic power project in Gujarat. These generators shall be manufactured at BHEL's Trichy plant.

The 700 MW steam generator is based on the design developed by BHEL for the first 540 MW steam generators installed at Tarapur nuclear power plant, Maharshtra.
