The Orissa government intends to set up an IT investment region (ITIR) in Bhubaneswar on 10,000 acre.

The state government has roped in Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (IDCO) and the Infrastructure Leasing & Financial Services (IL&FS) for identifying land for the proposed project. IDCO and IL&FS have reportedly short-listed the region encompassing Infocity-I and Infocity-II in Bhubaneswar. The study report is expected to be submitted to the state government shortly.

For the proposed ITIR, the state government will provide 10,000 acre while the Union Government will provide external infrastructure linkages like road, railway, airport and other facilities.
