Delhi based Aerens Gold Souk Group launched its Gold Souk Grande, a large format multi-specialty mall on 1 April 2009 at Vandaloor, near Chennai.
The Rs 250 crore mall to be developed over 8 lakh sq ft is expected to be fully operational by September 2010. The mall is slated to have hypermarket, food court, anchor stores and a multiplex.
Apart from this, the group has plans to develop 100 malls across India of which it has developed five major malls in Gurgaon, Delhi, Kochi, Ludhiana, Jasipur. The fund for the proposed malls is likely to be raised through internal accruals, sale of space at malls and debt from banks.
Meanwhile, the company is also developing jewellery SEZs in Kochi, Haryana, Jaipur and Chhattisgarh for which land has been acquired. The investment for these projects is pegged at Rs 600 - Rs 700 crore.
