The Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has served a public notice against investing in DLF's proposed complex named Westend Heights on Bannerghatta Road in Bangalore.
As per the notice, DLF has not obtained the necessary regulatory approvals like environmental clearance, power, water and sanitation approvals for the project. DLF has only got approval from the Bangalore Development Authority for constructing four floors in all the buildings at its project, while the firm’s been advertising 18 floors. According to the BBMP, such apartments will not get the NOC as they are illegal and can be demolished and without which buyers will not be able to complete other transactions with the civic authorities. Those who have already booked flats, however, could expect a refund of their money.
