McNally Bharat Engineering Company has taken over a Humboldt
Wedag Coal & Minerals Technology GmbH, a wholly owned subsidiary of Germany's KHD Humboldt Wedag.
MBE Holdings, McNally's wholly owned Singapore based subsidiary, has signed a purchase agreement with Humboldt Wedag Coal & Minerals Technology GmbH on 20 August 2009 for acquiring latter's engineering workshop in Cologne, its coal and minerals based business and its Kharagpur unit in West Bengal for a total consideration of $ 16 million (approx Rs 80 crore).
In May 2009, McNally had signed an MoU for the acquisition.
