GACL to expand hydrogen peroxide plant capacity

Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals Ltd (GACL) plans to raise production of hydrogen peroxide to more than 39,000 tpa with an investment of Rs 98 crore at its Dahej complex in Bharuch district.

The project, to increase the capacity from current 25,080 to 39,080 tpa, is expected to go on stream during March 2011. The technology for the expansion project has been tied up with Chematur Engineering AB, Sweden, which gave the technical know-how for the Dahej plant.
