Shree Cement to expand plant capacity

Shree Cement has chalked out a Rs 1,000 crore investment plan to expand its cement and power plant capacity over the next 12 months. Of the total, Rs 800 crore is likely to be raised through internal accruals.

The company is likely to set up two grinding units each in Rajasthan and Uttarakhand with a total capacity of 2.5 million tpa and two power plants of 50MW each at Bangur in Rajasthan. It is also setting up a waste heat recovery power plant called "Green power project" which will generate 43 MW of green power. The green power project is scheduled for completion in the fourth quarter of 2009-10.
