Land acquisition underway for Andal aerotropolis project

Bengal Aerotropolis Projects is likely to hand over 105 acre to the land losers at the aerotropolis project at Andal in Durgapur-Asansol area in Bardhaman district of West Bengal, through the land-for-land scheme, by end-2009.

The land will be given once the acquisition of the total 2,360 acre required land is completed by December.

According to sources, around 320 acre has been acquired and another 550 acre is required for Phase I, which is expected to be completed by August 2009. Work on the project is likely to commence by early-2010.
